Rentino is a peer-to-peer marketplace. Some information is processed by specialized providers to run core functions:

  • 1Payments, deposits, payouts, and stored payment methods are processed by Stripe.
  • 2Owner identity verification (KYC) is performed through Stripe (including Stripe Identity and related services).
  • 3Optional listing suggestions based on listing photos and related listing text may be processed by OpenAI when a user asks the Platform to suggest a listing title, description, or category.
  • 4Stripe’s handling of data for these services is governed by Stripe’s own policies and agreements. Rentino does not store full card numbers.
  • 5OpenAI’s handling of API data is governed by OpenAI’s applicable API terms, privacy/security commitments, and retention practices. At the time of writing, OpenAI states that API customer content is not used to train OpenAI models by default.

Some service providers (including Stripe and OpenAI) may process or store information outside Alberta or Canada, including in the United States or other jurisdictions where they or their subprocessors operate. When information is processed outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions (including lawful access requests by authorities). We take steps to require appropriate safeguards with providers.

Third-party processors such as OpenAI may also retain API content for limited periods under their own security and abuse-monitoring policies. We do not use your AI listing suggestion content to train OpenAI models, based on OpenAI’s API data policy in effect at the time of this update.
